On Saturday night I went to my first AFL match at Carrara Stadium. I was pretty good. Being a Rugby girl I tried to follow the game. I quickly caught onto the lingo and started to join in with the chants of 'GOOD MARK!" & "KICK IT KICK IT!!!".
Mick's team is the Brisbane Lions. They lost. 
It was still a fun night out. It was good to wear a home-made beanie & to drink expensive beer out of a plastic cup & have the standard hot chips with barbie sauce.

The packs of childrens behind us though were a bit of a distraction as I was fully expecting at least ONE of the six footballs being kicked & thrown around to hit me in the back of the head.
I was ready to tackle them if need be. Luckily for them it didn't come to that.
