Mavis' House Restaurant

On Sunday Mick & I drove out past Murwillumbah in Northern NSW heading toward Mount Warning to celebrate Leisa's birthday at the most beautiful restaurant called "Mavis' House".

Mavis' House used to be called "Harley Street Brasserie" and was on Brisbane Road at Labrador.
The land was sold to developers and the home was moved.

It is absolutely beautiful.

Most of the menu is cooked using organic produce grown on the grounds. We had garlic loaf starter. Mick had the lambs brains (I tried them it tasted kinda like crumbed pate) & I had the roast pork. The food was delicious. We then had birthday cake & coffee. Mick had the apple strudel for desert.

I was a wonderful lunch & it was great to catch up with Danni & Carey & Greg & Leisa again.

From my house at Upper Coomera it took about 1 1/2 hours drive. But the drive is just beautiful. I totally recommend it.
