Roller Derby Dolls Premier

On May the 1st was the premier viewing of "Roller Derby Dolls"at the Dendy Cinemas. This is the doco about me, Anita & Mimsy & the journey of us reintroducing Roller Derby to Australia after nearly a 30 year absense. It was really good. I (and some of the other gals) were nervous as to what it would be like but Phoebe, Vicki & the crew did an excellent job.
It was really weird seeing myself up on the 'big screen'. I didn't know what to say.In one scene at the powder coaters I look like a total butch dyke. In many of the one-on-one interview scenes I reckon sound like such a bogan. Afterwards, Anita, Mimsy & I had to get up infront of the audience. When it came time for me to 'say a few words' I just froze. What a dufus.

It was so good to catch up with the roller girls again as it has been about 9 months since I've seen them.

I miss them heaps. I'm still contemplating going back.. Hmmm not sure.

Before our doco was another one called "Rare Chicken Rescue". It was brilliant.
Our doco will be screened on the ABC in about 2 months time. How exciting (and terrifying).
